Happy Middle of the Summer to you ALL! Much news! (I've done this alphabetically, since I'm so slow in getting the updates done. MY BAD!)
for full sized picture! (YOUR favorite pictures are welcome, too, ya know! All you gotta do is send them to me!) Glen is playing alto and curved soprano with a 10-piece swing band in Pismo Beach.*****
Thanks to David Brumley, (Alto Sax - 1989-1990 and computer wizard), there us a completely NEW section on the site! David took the time to convert the amateur recording made in 1990 of all bands to MP3's, and you can listen the them here: 1990 Brass Beat Organization Tape - All Bands. (We have future plans to convert the Brass Beat album recorded in the early 1980's.)
BTW - David's tape is worn out, thanks to these efforts. If someone out there can dub him another one, please contact him! Thanks! --cjg14apr02

While I was researching Brass Beat members on the internet, I made a lot of changes to the Member Info directory. Have a look and please send me any updates on you or your friends. This feature,
, might help you in your search:
*****
27 September 2000 - Courtesy of Joanne (Klocker) Arnston and her Mom, the site now has pictures of the 1972 Brass Beat Picnic - held at Miss Cayler's house. (Thanks Joanne and Mrs. Klocker! The gold lame mini-skirt lives on!) Also, the Brass Beat History section has been updated with pictures, and the Brass Beat Member Directory has quite a few changes and some additions.
*****
28 July 2000 - Hey! There's some new "stuff" in here! The Member Info has been updated, there are a few announcement-type things in 'N' All that Jazz, and in case you are NOT on the e-mail list, there are reunion pictures, courtesy of Greg Flores - and to be notified when this site is updated, please send me your e-mail address!

The following information has been on the site since it was pushed live in April of 2000. I am leaving it here for members who missed the reunion or are just visiting the site for the first time. If this includes you, welcome, enjoy, and e-mail your information to me so people can contact you!

You found us! Congratulations! A bit of background on this site is probably in order: After way too many years of being apart from each other, a Brass Beat reunion was scheduled and held during the weekend of July 19, 1999. And, YES! It was appropriately held at the Boulder Elks Club. Joy, Karen, Nancy, and David (and countless others) worked for months to compile a complete list of all of the fine young musicians who got up early, stayed up late and worked so hard to give so much enjoyment to so many during Brass Beat's glorious 24year history.
Sadly, there were many Brass Beaters who couldn't be notified of the reunion too many years had passed, everyone grew up and moved on, and the trail had grown too cold to follow. We had a great turnout, and a wonderful time, but those of you who weren't with us were dearly missed and fondly remembered.
On Sunday, following the reunion, a group of us met to rehash the festivities, and we noticed there was a common thread, other than music, among the attendees computers! Nearly everyone who attended reunion works in the computer industry, or has a home computer, or has easy access to the wired world. Even parents and grandparents seem to have entered the world of technology. And so, we thought that by getting this site out here on the web, we might be successful in locating more of you before the next reunion rolls around, and that this site would assist you in reconnecting with your friends.
If your information is incomplete, incorrect or just plain not here, or if you can provide updated information on other members of the Brass Beat family, PLEASE email Joy and Nancy, Karen, Erik Gibb, or Cheryl Gibb and we will make every effort to keep this page updated as fast as we get the information.
We will be adding more content as we receive it from you pictures old and new, an online version of 'N All That Jazz, so please bookmark the site, check back often, and submit suggestions and/or content to Cheryl Gibb. (Any and all siterelated complaints should be directed to Cheryl Gibb. This is, after all, YOUR site! You should expect nothing less than the best!) Please also spread the word to your friends and families about this site we want to add and correct information for as many people as we can. Thanks, and enjoy!
